Create floating pane

Message Topic Search Topic Options Post Reply Create New Topic Printable Version Translate Topic

   I need to create a dockable window but have it initially floating.  I can achieve this by creating a docking pane and them calling FloatPane, but this is not what I want since the screen flashes and my main window is resized to accomodate the docking window.
What is the best way to do this?
