We are converting a large VB6 MDI application to use CommandBars.
Initially, we started with CommandBars for the MDI child forms, but switched to CommandBarsFrame. The CommandBarsFrame control includes the Align property, which allows other panels to stack up nicely below it. However, the Execute() event on Form1 may fire even when Form2 is active. We're not clear on the cause of this issue and would like to stay with the CommandBarsFrame controls if at all possible. The following example illustrates the problem. Form2 has focus, but pressing Ctrl+N fires the CommandBars_Execute event on Form1. uploads/20090303_230733_CommandBars_Key.zip |

We'll be looking forward to the next release. If you have an early beta, I'd be happy to test it.
Thanks for the quick response :) |

We switched to CommandBars, which was a good workaround. However, we had a conflict with a DatePicker in an UltraGrid control (long story). Placing the CommandBars control into a PictureBox resolved that problem, but the KeyBindings problem is back on that form. When do you expect to have a hot fix or service pack containing this patch? |
