To change group caption, try this:

    Set Item = Record.AddItem("")
    Item.GroupCaption = customname

for group item count, in beforeDrawRow, try this:

    Metrics.Text = Row.GroupCaption + " (" + CStr(Row.Childs.Count) + ") "
    Else
