Why is underscore "_" not drawn in txt:Italic= 1?

   Hi, 

I have in my languages keywords which contain an underscore
for reserved names e.g. _MyReservedName.
If I use 
   txt:Italic= 1
in my schema defintion, the underscores of the keywords are simply
not drawn (while the rest of the keyword is in italic), so I only
see 
    MyReservedName
instead of

    _MyReservedName

(This behavior can be seen in MDITextEditor)

This makes the feature "txt:Italic" rather senseless for me.
Any workarounds ?
(The font itself couldn't be the problem, because if I use the same font
in italic for the whole document from the options dialog, it's o.k.).
Maybe it's only a small clipping problem of the text...
But i don't have the time to dig to deep into the source code again...

Add on: It's really most probably a text clipping problem, because
with Courier in font size 18 I can see the underscore in "italic"
syntax style while I cannot see it in size 16. So maybe the clipping 
region is simply one pixel to small.
