Forcing a grid to write its values

   So grid items update their bound values during focus loss, as best I can tell.  The problem is the hitting the file menu (as in File Save) doesn't trigger this.  If the user doesn't click in another place to trigger the focus change, the old values get written.  

Any suggestions on how to get around this?
