Hi
Still not able to find a FAST way to manage 100000 records with sort, group and filter! Paging? Virtual mode loses group and filter. Anyone? |

Not sure what type of feedback you're looking for. This seems to be a limitation of all similar controls that I have used in the past that provide grouping capabilities - they track all field data internally in order to provide such abstractions, thereby limiting scalability.
The only solution is virtual mode. I've yet to find a report/list control that will support a combination of both virtual mode *and* grouping (filtering, by the way, is straight-forward to implement in your own code using virtual mode). I would love to see support for a combination of virtual mode and grouping. But I'm not sure its feasible to generalize such behavior - you need a highly specialized control, similar to what MS Outlook uses.
