subject says it all
if you have a control that is of type CXTPNoFlickerWnd<CXTTreeCtrl> then doing things like setting an item colour and background colour do nothing.
Removing the template wrapper and the class works again.

You don't need it for CXTTreeCtrl. CXTTreeCtrl is already flicker free.

yes I found that. Had migrated from CXTPNoFlickerWnd<CTreeCtrl> is all that's why I ended up with CXTPNoFlickerWnd<CXTTreeCtrl>.
Working well now thanks.
