I am trying to create xaml icons using inkscape tool. However the xaml icons thus created doesn't seem to be compatible with codejock's xaml icon (its unable to load the icon created using that tool). I see there are difference in tags in generated image and image used in codejock samples.

Is there any other tool/process which helps me to create xaml icons in codejock accepted format?

Thanks,
Navap

I found that the "Silverlight compatible" option in Inkscape tends to generate XAML that is compatible with XTP's markup implementation. This option should come up when saving your icon to XAML afaik.

That being said, I actually switched to Adobe Illustrator with this XAML export plugin https://www.mikeswanson.com/xamlexport/ instead of Inkscape. This can export Silverlight compatible XAML as well which tends to make stuff that works with XTP fairly well. Adobe Illustrator isn't free and open source like Inkscape but it is more powerful in my opinion if you can cop the subscription fee.

Affinity Designer is a cheaper and quite capable alternative to Adobe Illustrator. You could export from Designer as SVG, then use InkScape to convert to XAML. Designer does not yet have a way to export to XAML.
