We have some cases reported where the first time a user launches our application, the application icon is missing from the ribbon bar.
Does anyone have any idea where I might look for the problem in the code? The users say all they have to do is exit after the first invocation and the problem never shows up again (until they uninstall and reinstall say for a version update). |

Perhaps a specific dll has a conflicting resource ID of your glyph icon?

First I'll have to find the code that loads the icon. It turns out the description was not very good. The app icon shows up but when we open one of our document types (we support MDI), the icon for the app changes appearance. It is partially the app icon and partially the default icon for the file extension.
