   Hi

  For a long time I create my columns with  ReportControl1.Columns.Add 0, "Col1"
Then I have to create a row with Set Record = wndReportControl.Records.Add
Then I have to create each column item within that row with Record.AddItem
Should, or is there away to have the created Record  by default have its ReportRecordItem created when the record is added.
Thanks
Mark

i except there would be a easier way adding a row.

As you said, after a row is added with Records.Add, each item of the row should be added automaticly.
In addition, how can I  get the value of a focused cell? The codes seems a bit more. Why can not we use ReportControl.Cell(row.index,col.index) ?

   Hi, Mark

I would expect to add records with a predefined record (including the ReportItems) but it seems it can't be done. I tried with .CreateRecord and ReportRecord but it doesn't add the record (tried with Me.wndReportControl.AddRecordEx pRecord ) to Records collection.
Question for support: should it be possible?
@dailyblog: You can get value of a ReportItem:
Me.wndReportControl.FocusSubItems = True 'Enable focus for ReportItems
Me.wndReportControl.FocusedRow.Record.Item(Me.wndReportControl.FocusedColumn.ItemIndex).Value
