    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://forum.codejock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=9688">fierikit</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> VB6 Grid control design populate from Data Source<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14 August 2025 at 9:56am<br /><br />Hi<div>we bought Codejock to dismiss older suites, now i speak about APEX TrueDBGrid.</div><div>with APEX TrueDBGrid we can create a grid at Design Time binding it to a Data Source (ADODataControl or ADO Recordset); we use to do:</div><div>At design time:</div><div>1) in a form create and populate a Data Source + empty TDBGrid</div><div>2) Set TDBGrid.DataSource = MyDataSource</div><div>3) RightMouse to the control and choose command 'Retrieve Filelds' --&gt; Will set all Column Name and DataType &lt;-- This is the fantastic tool we use and need</div><div>4) Copy the Grid and Paste in the form we need</div><div><br></div><div>we have to change more than one hundred Grid, if can create Codejock Grid that way we can&nbsp;save weeks of work.</div><div><br></div><div>I hope i have explained my matter</div><div>Have a nice day</div><div>Alberto</div>]]>

I take the first 10 results and add them to the child with the :constraints:Add() method so they are displayed and selectable, but this causes the PropertyItemString to become "Not Editable". Is there any solution for this use case in the PropertyGrid control?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks!</div>]]>
