Call TabControl1.PaintManager.SelectTabOnDragOver = False
 if you don't want it.

There appears to be an issue with the TabControl and DragDrop.

I have two Two ListBoxes on a form seperated by a TabControl whose tabs run vertically.
 
I want to be able to drag items from the left hand list box to the right hand one, so I have set the OleDragMode of the first to automatic.
 
When I start dragging from one listbox to the other, the TabControl sets the active tab to whichever one lies underneath the mouse cursor. This should not happen as the TabControls DragMode is set to Manual.
