I'd like to set a preliminary splitter position for my user if they have not already set a position themselves. Two questions:

1) How can one set a position for the DockingPaneManager splitter position? I don't see an appropriate method for setting a splitter position.
 
2) I save the DockingPane layout each time the program closes. What setting in the registry controls the splitter position for the DockingPanes? I realize that I create a key path but the method itself also creates some keys and settings itself. Which of these controls the splitter position?
