You can enable ownerdraw for this combo - see Samples\CommandBars\CustomThemes sample. For 11.2 release we aded buildin support of ownerdraw for combolist.

On one of the screenshots it shows the cool highlighters and on other boring blue ones

Hi

Our application is themed with nice yellow/orange bars when you hover over items, however we have added a combo box:
 

CXTPControlComboBox *pControlComboBox = new CXTPControlComboBox();

LONG lCount;

LPCTSTR *pPrinter = NULL;

BESTVIEW::bvGetPrinterList( &pPrinter, &lCount );

for ( LONG i = lCount - 1; i >=0; i-- )

pControlComboBox->AddString( pPrinter[i] );

pControlComboBox->SetDropDownListStyle( FALSE );

pControlComboBox->SetWidth( 250 );

pControlComboBox->SetCurSel( 0 );

pRibbonGroup->Add( pControlComboBox, ID_PRINT_OPTION_PRINTER );

 

But we cannot seem to get the highlighted bars to highlighted with the selected theme (eg. orange selections instead of blue)

also for some reason tooltips show differently than rest of our app ???
 
Any help appreciated
