In a normal way, it should shift the first column when grouping. See below:



Which version of the toolkit do you use? May be you just need to upgrade?..

Above is a screen shot of the issue I am seeing with my report control.
The "gutter" spacing produced by the column grouping is hidding some of my columns.
 
When they choose to group by a specific column should I be adjusting the columns some how.  I would think it would happen automatically.  I could be overriding something that would do this normally... but I don't know.
