I have a record which I have set the EnsureVisible property to true. This does move the item into a visible location within the RC. However, I would like to always ensure that the record in question is more than just visible but also residing at the top of the RC as the first record in the list if enough records exists for this to be possible. I realize that if there are only enough records to fill the RC and the record in question is at the bottom then it cannot be shown at the top without reordering the records. That I do not wish to do. But if enough records are below the record that I have set as EnsureVisible to allow it to be shown near the top then how can this be achieved?

 
I thought that I could enumerate through all the records and check which record was visible at the top but there does not appear to be a way to determine which record is first VISIBLE record in the list.
