also using Windows Vista Ultimate with 2GB of RAM and an NVIDIA graphics card

I assume you have made sure you are using the latest drivers for your video card, as we have had some strange behavious with certain video drivers in the past ?

I have this problem using Windows XP SP2 on a Dell Latitude D820 notebook. i am using vista and have not seen this problem yet, however it is good to know for when we launch.
