Editing via the right click may be easier, but it's not what I need.  We have several forms that use the same basic Commandbar.  When a change needs to be made, I was hoping to make it in one .xcb, store that as a resource and each form would then load the updated design from this resource.  Otherwise I would have to make a change in 10 different forms!   The load from resource would be more efficient and easier to maintain.
 
This is the line of code I'm using:
CommandBars.LoadDesignerBars 101, App.hInstance
 
After building the executable I used a resource viewer (reshacker) to make sure that resource 101 is actually of type RCDATA and that it is actually .xcb data.
 
Still cannot get it to work.  Any suggestions?

Hello,
yes, if this parameter is number, CommandBars will try to load from resources with RT_RCDATA type. second parameter must be Instance of main application. Will work with vb6 also.
 
But for Vb6 think easy use designer - right click on control and choose edit.

According to the help file, the LoadDesignerBars syntax is:
LoadDesignerBars [FileNameOrResource], [Instance]
 
Does this mean I can load a commandbar object from a resource?  Does this work in VB6?
