I have the same problem if the TabControl is inside an ocx:
 
If you use CodeJock TabControl in an ocx you will have crashes in the VB6 IDE without writing a single line of code!
Just follow this steps:
-download sample uploads/20070124_031335_TabControlOcx.zip
-compile the ocx (Projekt1.vbp --> CompileSample.ocx)
-start the project (MainProjekt.vbp) inside the IDE
-change the selected tabpage to TabControlPage2
-stop debugging by closing the application
-close the VB6 IDE --> Error:
 
If you do not change the selected tabpage, you will have no crash.

In our project we use lots of ocx with TabControls inside. With this bugs it's not very comfortable to
work with the control. We can not compile groups of ocx since we integrated the TabControl.
I hope there will be a solution soon!

Hi,
 
I have problems with the TabPageControl. I have add a sample project. Please start the project and click on the button 'AddControl (UserControl1)'. A usercontrol will be created and this control includes your TabControl. Pleas click on the button 'RemoveControl (UserControl1) no terminate'. The usercontrol is removed from the form. But the terminate event was not fired.
When you click on the button 'Add Control (UserControl2)' and click on the button 'Remove Control (UserControl2)' the event was fired. You can see it with the MessageBox. The reason is, the UserControl2 have no TabPageControl inside.
 
My application crash when I close it, because the UserControls don`t terminate.
