Set folowing properties:

ReportControl.AutoColumnSizing = True
 
ReportColumn.AutoSize = True
ReportColumn.Resizable = True

 
See also a regular sample, play with it, remove all columns excluding subject.

I have a report control with a single column. The RC is sized, upon initial load, to the user's screen resolution. I'd like the single column in the RC to be the same width as the RC itself. I've tried adding RC.Width to the size property at the column's creation but that makes it very large and includes scroll bars.
