Why - I have looked around because I was curious - I do not see any patents on the WBA file format (there could be - but if they have them, then no one seems to have mentioned it anywhere.)
 
I mean think about - rar opens zip - paint shop opens photoshop - just about everything I can think of has an import tool for other similiar product file formats.
 
... and Stardock is the last company that I could see getting in a huff about something like that - after the BS Apple has played with the in the past (while Microsoft has always played nice)

I do not see how it would be any different than a media player (ie Real Player) playing competitors video formats.
 
... or any different than Paint Shop Pro opeing up a Photoshop file, or vice versa.... Open Office opening up a Word Document, Excel Document.... or Excel when it was gaining dominance over Lotus 123 opening their file formats.

That's kindof what I figured.  Would be cool though.  :)

Maybe someone will write a WBA to MSSTYLES converter.

I know everything can't be converted but I'm sure a good bit could.

Honestly I kind of doubt it, if only because Stardock have their own skinning framework (and it is quite costly).

I can't see them allowing other companies to use their own format to create a directly competing product...
