Once you close the pane it is no longer floating.

You should save the Pane IDs that you want to reopen in the MDIchildwnd and call the pane manager ShowPane(PaneID) for every pane that you want to show. ShowPane will show the pane in the same state it was in when it was closed.

I have an MDI application and I want to close all the floating panes that are associated with a mdichildwnd when it switches to another mdichildwnd. the closing part works fine. but it seems that when I try to show all the windows that were floating.. I can't seem to determine what window those where. IsFloating() always returns false.
