I have a basic understanding of how to use this control, adding records and such, but some of the advanced features are really confusing to me.  I am trying to create groups and add records to those groups.  No sorting or anything like that.  My groups have nothing to do with the columns and I think that's where my problem is. I'm trying to use the control as a catagory list and I wonder how to do this or even if it is possible. 

The attached picture shows my current list view and what I am trying to reproduce using the Report Control instead of the list.  The Report Control is a lot better than the list, but I think I need some help in going about it.

Can anyone provide me with some steps (logic steps, no code) to get the Report Control to look / act like the list in the picture?

ANY help would be appreciated - I've spent days looking at the samples, but they appear to 'group' items by columns and that's not what I need.
