I can't reproduce this behavior. Can you provide sample project which can show such behavior ?
After debugging I can say reason of this.

Every time the user selects a key for a ribbon shortcut, we get the warning message "This shortcut is currently assigned".  Even the most unusual keys (such as Ctrl+Shift+Alt+F5) produce the warning.  Do you know why, or how I might avoid this?

I am using Codejock.CommandBars.17.2.0
