Oh, I spoke too soon. I stepped thru the display code and found a m_bRotateImageOnVerticalDraw member in the paint manager. It is TRUE for this theme but FALSE for others. If I set to FALSE, I get what we want.

If I use the Office2013 White theme, the images we assign to docking panes are rotated 90 degrees when they display in the auto-hide panel. I could rotate the images 90 degrees ccw to "fix" this but the same images are used when displayed on the pane itself (e.g., when not hidden) so that won't work.

Is this 90 degree CW rotation by design?

Version is 16.3.
