Luckily windows reacts properly to the LRM and RLM characters so I was able to work around the issue.]]>

It leaves the combobox with a "?" character in it on english systems, but works fine on a full arabic windows.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://forum.codejock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=833">Spyder</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2022<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 March 2005 at 12:23am<br /><br />When running on a system that has the RTL language pack installed, english text with brackets appears incorrectly.<br /><br />This may just be a weird side effect of BiDi systems, since it also happens in the form caption; but this may also be caused by the way CodeJock appears to recommend enabling RTL support via Windows APIs.<br /><br />I have attached a copy of the ScribbleMultiLang example, with a few strings hard-coded to english.  Load the sample, then select "Arabic" from the language menu.<br /><br />On a regular Windows system, everything appears fine.  But install the language pack, and the problem appears.<br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="uploads/Spyder/2005-03-24_001054_ScribbleMultiLang.zip" target="_blank">2005-03-24_001054_ScribbleMultiLang.zip</a><br /><br /><br />To install the language pack (requires the windows CD):<br />On WinXP:<br />Control panel -&gt; regional and language options -&gt; languages tab<br /><br />Under "Supplemental language support", ticking either checkbox will show the problem.<br /><br /><br />On Win2K:<br />Control panel -&gt; regional options -&gt; general tab<br /><br />In the list of languages select Arabic.]]>
