I notice in the new version of the taskpanel control that if I drag drop an item xml data is supplied in text form when you drop onto an OLE drag drop control.  This is a fantastic update and will prove invaluable in my application.

However I also notice another data type is available with OLE ID -15652.  When I do a GetData on it I get 4096 bytes of binary data.  This looks like a direct representation of the taskpanelitem but I can't verify this because the actual data is returned rather than a reference to an object.

Am I barking up the wrong tree here and should stick to passing the XML that gets written as text ?
