Author: Edwig
Subject: 20021
Posted: 07 August 2012 at 7:19am

When deploying the skin framework in a standard MS visual studio 2010 deployment project,
we tried using the supported MSM merge modules as in the "Codejock.Skinframework.x64.vx.y.z.msm" files. It's a very fast way of building installers

When deployed in this way the 64 bits versions do not work.

Spying the *.MSM codejock files with the microsoft ORCA tools, we found out that the standard Unicode and ANSI 32bits versions contain registry settings for the codejock components, wheras the 64 bits versions don't.

By supplying all registry settings by hand, we got a working situation. but this strikes me as a serious bug for working with merge modules.

Or are we missing something here?
