    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://forum.codejock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1832">ingo</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 19489<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 15 February 2012 at 5:15am<br /><br />Hi,<br><br>I'd like to have the same "drag out" functionality for MDI windows as in Visual Studio 2010.<br>I looked at the <span ="highlight">MDITabWindow</span> sample to create floating/dockable MDI windows.<br><br>However, this does not work if the MDI frame has a SplitterWnd.<br>Method "DockFrame" destroys the old frame and creates a new one (of type CDockingFrameWnd).<br>All additional information in the old frame get's deleted, including the SplitterWnd member variable (which destroys it's child windows in the destructor).<br><br>I tried to connect the old view to the docking pane instead of creating a new one - without success.<br><br>Additionaly, MDITabWindow sample does not provide exactly the same "drag out" functionality as Visual Studio 2010. The dragged-out MDI windows do not have to be dockable in my case. Is it easier to solve the problem without docking panes?<br><br>Can someone help me?<br><br>Ingo.<br><br>]]>
