The section capability will be interesting. I'm assuming it would work like banding.

Will there be some filtering control for the individual sections? I've worked around this by bypassing header or footer records when filtering, but that's a pretty ugly fix.

For instance you have Body records:

Foo
Foo1

And a Footer record:

Total

If you filter for "Foo" you get the Foo records but the Total disappears. This makes filtering unusable in this case without adding a mechanism to bypass the Footer Section.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't know of an option to disable/enable filtering for a particular Section.
