Let me answer my own questions:

1. about default date, CXTPDatePickerContrl only shows today's date as default. I have a workaround for this: calculate month difference between specified date and today's date, use ScrollLeft or ScrollRight function to show the specified date as default.

2. CXTPDatePickerControl is only able to be navigated by month, not by year, which is not user friendly.

I want to initialize CXTPDatePickerControl to show specified date selected, which means that date picker shows one selected specified date once when it pops up. But only today's date is selected when it pops up. I have tried all provided functions to implement this without luck.

Is it possible to get this done?

The other question: Is it possible to navigate by year instead of only by month in date picker?
