You can update our sources now - in CXTPFlowGraphMetallicTheme::DrawNode add 

COLORREF clrEllipse = pPoint->GetColor();
if (clrEllipse == (COLORREF)-1)
clrEllipse = RGB(182, 182, 182);

pDC->SetBrush(pPoint->IsSelected() ? clrSelection : pPoint->GetConnectionsCount() > 0 ? RGB(250, 252, 58) : clrEllipse);

It looks like CXTPFlowGraphConnectionPoint::SetColor isn't working.  I can't get the connection point to be any color other than the default.
