If you right click on the code pane you get a popup menu. It contains a menu Toggle. If you select this menu you get three options: Break on All Errors, Break in Class Module and Break on Unhandled Errors. Thanks, actually its strange. 

There is "On Error Resume Next" before and indeed first call should fail but Error should not be displayed because of this instruction. (if I remove it, I see same)

Maybe your Vb6 has some property or special installed thing that ignores "On Error" instruction ?

VB6 IDE does run on Windows7, you just have to jump through a few hoops to get it working properly.
