I've experimented with creating a control panel along the side of my application's window, using both a dialog bar and a docking pane. In both cases, when I resize my application's window, the controls flicker horribly. If I switch from using a CDialog to a CXTResizeDialog, this problem goes away, but then the background color of parts of the static controls doesn't match that of the rest of the controls.
 
Does anybody know how to get controls in a dialog bar or docking pane not to flicker when the window is resized, and do so without messing up the background of static controls?
