We have already fixed drawing non square icons in CommanBar/Ribbon for next release v18.3 which will be soon.

I have a case where I want a split button popup control that has an icon that is 96 wide x 24 tall where the rest of the toolbar icons are 24x24.  Is this possible at all?  If I set the width of the split button it doesn't make the icon any bigger, it just leaves a bunch of empty space.
