I went ahead and subclassed CXTPReportRecord and added a few "extras" to it so that I could store some item data on the record.


class CDataReportRecord : public CXTPReportRecord
{
DECLARE_DYNAMIC(CDataReportRecord)

CDataReportRecord(DWORD dwRecordData);
virtual ~CDataReportRecord();

I'm really trying to do something similar to "CListCtrl::SetItemData" so that I can associate some arbitrary object handle/pointer to a record in the record control. What's the best way to do this?

Sorry it used in ActiveX version only.

You can copy code of CXTPReportRecordItemVariant(XTPReportRecordItemText.h) to your application.

I'm having some trouble using CXTPReportRecordItemVariant - it doesn't appears to be definied. I've checked the XTPReportRecordItemText.h header the definition looks valid but the code doesn't compile.

Compiler Error:

error C2065: 'CXTPReportRecordItemVariant' : undeclared identifier
