Hi,
 
1. No difference :)  only without brackets: m_pControl = pGroup->Add(xtpControlButton, ID);  recommend use this one.
 
2. See CustomThemes sample. It shows how catch notifications from combo.

First question:
 
What's the difference between:
> m_pControl = pGroup->Add(xtpControlButton(), ID);
> m_pControl = pGroup->Add(new CXTPControlButton(), ID);
 
Second question:
