Of course you can set so name Options (pick list strings) - there are special function in RC to do it. You can have same combo options for all items in same column and also individual for different cells - see post http://forum.codejock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=14664&PID=51368#51368

i want to set pointed item to the value listed in Combobox Control.

i considered to use Report Control instead of Vsflexgrid.
