Just tried the beta and it seems the update of selection is still crappy.
 
Just open a cpp-file and select using the mouse. Move the cursor fast up and down. Now try the same in Visual Studio or UltraEdit...
 
Are you using a timer? VS is not, as it seems!
 
Not critical, but irritating for a perfectionist :P.
