Is it possible to have the Reportcontrol behave like the Windows Listcontrol in owner data mode?

I would like to use the control for displaying data from a database and the amount of records returned can be huge (wrong selections by users)

It's not that the control can't handle the amount of data, but retrieving the all the data before displaying it may take some time and only a part of the data is displayed

If it's possible how to do it? If not could it be place on the feature request list?
