Steps to reproduce it:
 
Comment the following code lines in the TreeCtrl sample in version 11.2:

void CSelectTreeCtrl::PreSubclassWindow()
{
    CTreeCtrl::PreSubclassWindow();

    m_pParentDlg = DYNAMIC_DOWNCAST(CTreeCtrlDlg, GetParent());
    ASSERT_VALID(m_pParentDlg);

//    CBitmap bitmap;
//    bitmap.LoadBitmap(IDB_TREE_IMAGES);

//    m_imageList.Create(16, 16, ILC_COLOR24|ILC_MASK, 2, 1);
//    m_imageList.Add(&bitmap, RGB(0,255,0));
//    SetImageList(&m_imageList, TVSIL_NORMAL);
}

Compile and run it, and then do the steps in the previous message.

1.Remove the image of the tree item and Run the CtreeCtrl demo ,then click "Start->Settings->Taskbar and start menu" , do nothing and thenclick "OK" button , you will find that the expand button in the demoprogram became a little smaller.

2. Run the demo with the image of the tree item, all is OK.

3.Do the same with the tree control not using the ctreectrl class, all is OK.


What's the reason?
