Author: fakusz
Subject: 12806
Posted: 26 November 2008 at 5:14pm

Hi,

I would like to have in a dialog box based program a directory select (browse) combo box, like the one in the top of the standard file open dialog.

I tried with a CXTShellTreeCtrl, by clicking on a button I showed and hided it after selecting a directory. With an edit control looks, like a combo.
One of the problems is, that the CXTShellTreeCtrl control appears behind the other buttons, controls, even if I called the BringWindowToTop method after showing it. All these controls resides on a pane, that can be hidden to save space.

There is any other solution to do this? It would be better to have a combo box filled with the directory tree.

I am working with Toolkit Pro v12.0.2 for Visual C++ MFC, with Visual Studio 2008, under XP.

Thanks in advance,
fakusz
