If the available skins are known at design time then maybe you can create thumbnailed screenshots for each skin?

If the skins are not known then how about shelling to another exe with chosen skin as command line parameter?

Then you could find that window using FindWindow api, then use SetParent to move it into a picturebox in your main app.

I've not tried this myself.. Just something you can try.
