And set the cursor position with:

wndSyntaxEdit.CurrPos.SetPos 2, 1

This de-selects the selection so do this first.

You can set selection as follows:

wndSyntaxEdit.Selection.Start.SetPos 1, 1
wndSyntaxEdit.Selection.End.SetPos 2, 1
