Status Bar Pane Background Color

   I am trying to set the background color of a status bar pane. 

I can sussesfully set the background color, but, any number of conversion techniques I have used to convert a Hex color into a uint have failed to produce the apporiate color.

I have tried using the HexToDecimal converter in the sample code as well, and it produces the same results.

I am trying to set a yellow color on the pane, and it keeps coming back aqua or blue ish.

Red does not come back correctly either.

However, if I use a green Hex color, it does look correct.
