André/All, Can you check this updated sample for perfomance. We added Double Buffer + Some optimization in redraw/bitmaps

1 small bug I see:
 
Maximize the window, then restore...the corners are square, Resizing fixes them.

Interesting, I am unable to reproduce this issue on my system.
 
The drawing does seem a bit faster in this one (even though it was never really slow for me) and overall the GUI feels somewhat more responsive.

I do get a little bit of flicker in the gold selection border when clicking on a gallery item (for example "Styles").

The Ribbon is now way more responsive, also when I move the window out of the screen and back it's not sluggish anymore thanks to double-buffering.
 
Only resizing the window could still be a little bit faster, although it is already way faster. When I stretch the window I can see the border on the right and then the caption / ribbon follow the border.
 
But I'd say this is ok to be released to customers Smile

P4 3.4 EE, 2gig Ram, Geforce 6800 Ultra

italo, 10.2 has RibbonBar you can use that version.
