I was really impressed about the SuiteControls from v11.1.3. Small size - big usage! But now, what are you doing guys?
Why do you put so much ressource-hungry components into it? Like the WebBrowser-control???
Why do you not split SuiteControls in some parts - like Microsoft's Common-controls: SuiteControl 1, SuiteControl 2 and so on... ...so the developer can take what he needed! E.g. in most of my applications i only need a flat text- und combobox... No webcontrol, no HexEditor, no TreeView!
And by the way in some cases i can not detect the difference to the standard-controls from MS. E.g. what ist the difference from your DateTimePicker and the MS-DateTimePicker? The only what i detect is, that it has less features like the MS-control! No Flat-Style and so on...!???
And last but not least the ocx-size is now realy big - more then 1 MB for some standard-controls!!!
Guys, you do a great job, but this is too much for lightwight-use!
!!! please correct me, if i don't understand something and i'm wrong with my statement!

Hello,
11.1.3 was 716 kb, 11.2 is 1280 kb.
Is 500kb really a problem?
If we devide controls, each will be about 600 kb because each ocx will include a lot of _common_ code.
btw anyway all installers pack files in result exe.
Control.ocx in zip is about 500kb :)

Thanks for your reply. Of course you're right with the OCX-size. And i do understand your reason about the common-code!
But it is fact, that the components are heavy-controls (and the controls inside seams to be original MS-controls, only subclassed!).
And please - my last questions: 1.) [...] what ist the difference from your DateTimePicker and the MS-DateTimePicker?
2.) And how can i set it to flat-style?

Hi,
We tried to implement all MS controls in one single ocx, so you can replace and don't deliver all ocx from Microsoft.
btw I don't see FlatStyle property for MS-DateTimePicker :(

Sorry, Oleg. But i don't understand your answer.
My question was based of the Codejock-DateTimePicker. All the other Edit controls does have a Flat-Style and i wish a similar GUI for my customers. So how can i set it to "flatstyle" - or is this feature be planned for the next release?
Sorry 4 my bad english, i'm a alien! ;-)
