Mouse events over rides keyboard events

   I was going through the codejock sample examples, and observed, mouse click actions overrides the keyboard events. For instance, you are accessing the tool bar with keyboard (alt + random key) and if cursor is in between the sub menu items display then it hinders the keyboard event selection. This action was observed in codejock's example only, not in other applications like Visual Studio. 
Can anyone help me with flag and documentation for this.
