How to change the base colors of a skin?

Hi out there,
I go the nice task to change the colors of a vista based skin of an application from light blue to a simple red. Using Irfan View or FastStone ImageViewer to change the colors of all images to red works, but 1st I cannot get a defined RGB value and 2nd I'm loosing the transparency, although it is shown in the viewers and the skin builder preview.

Is there any way to change the base color by editing the RBG or hex values only? What I need is a working cjstyles-file.
