I am writing an application that uses DockingPanes.

Different docking panes are created at run time, depending on the users interaction. What I want to do is when a pane needs to be created during runtime, to load/apply the previously saved properties for that pane only.

The examples I have seen appear to load all panes in one go. Is there any way to load pane settings on an as need basis - i.e. if user interaction with the application means that a particular Pane is not required, then its setting are not loaded from file/Registry whatever (or atleast, the pane is not displayed).

What I'm trying to achieve is similar to VB forms that remember for setting like position, size, back/forecolor etc.

I am using VB6. Some sample code that shows how I may do this will be very useful.

Thanks
